This recent series of dream-like paintings of villages evolved over the past year and have perhaps been a form of personal art therapy, of escaping into a trance.
Former student and Florida Artist Craig Erlich wrote:
To me, the cool, dusky side of the spectrum you’re working with seems to be highly effective in accomplishing a mood for dreamscapes! These paintings make me think of the phosphorescent detailed images that flicker behind closed eyelids as you drift off to sleep. Also, I get an impression of discontinuity, or of vibrant collages composed of memories from places visited in dreams. Rich and dreamy stuff!
